Meat prepared on fire, one of the oldest ways of cooking, awakens the feeling of joy of gathering people. The Arawaks Indians, in their moments of celebration, roasted meats over coals on a wooden grill called Barbacoa, an heritage that gave our house its name.

This memory of the Arawak people, the gauchos’ tradition, the American barbecue, and the whole barbecue culture are present and are very respected in Barbacoa. Care with the selection and preparation of meat is also a mark of our service: we guarantee you the experience that only a good barbecue offers.

In 1990, the Group’s first Barbacoa steak house was inaugurated in São Paulo. Since then the restaurant has been offering more than twenty special cuts of prime meats, fish, lamb, wild boar, and broiler chicken, all served on the rodízio (rotation) system. Our delicious selection of mouthwatering desserts, the enormous salad and garnishes buffet continue to surprise and delight the most demanding palates. Barbacoa Itaim can seat 160 people in the main dining room and up to 60 in its annex, the latter perfect for informal or business gatherings.

The D&D Barbacoa steak house is located in the city’s most comprehensive design and decoration mall, the D&D. The D&D Mall is part of the São Paulo World Trade Center and Sheraton WTC Hotel complex, which also interconnects with the Centro Empresarial Nações Unidas (CENU) and the São Paulo Hilton Hotel. The D&D restaurant offers more than twenty cuts of prime meats, fish, lamb, wild boar, and broiler chicken, in addition to our enormous salad and garnishes buffet and a delicious selection of mouthwatering desserts. The ideal venue for a business lunch or for relaxing with the family after shopping. This welcoming and charming steak house seats 100 in the main dining room and a further 60 on the mezzanine floor, the latter being very much in demand for private dinner events.

Located in one of São Paulo’s most elegant shopping and leisure malls, Barbacoa Morumbi unquestionably serves the most flavorful meats in the entire region, and is frequented by shoppers in the mall or the many people who work in the surrounding region.

The restaurant serves more than twenty cuts of meat, fish, wild boar, and broiler chicken, prepared to perfection, to which diners can add their selections from the wonderfully fresh and varied salad bar.

The mouthwatering dessert buffet consists of irresistible sections of homemade desserts, pies, and a selection of fresh fruit. For those seeking to relax after work, during its extremely popular Happy Hour (18h to 20h30), Barbacoa serves a magnificent buffet of appetizers.

The steak house seats up to 185 diners and hosts any gathering from small groups to large events. To ensure ease of access for non-shopping mall customers, Barbacoa Morumbi also has a separate entrance from the street.

Its outstanding Feijoada (traditional Brazilian black bean stew) was selected by two leading Brazil-wide food magazines, Comer e Beber and Gula as the best in Salvador. Another highlight is the Espaço Kids (Children's Space) which opens on Weekends and holidays. Here, the kidscan watch movies, listen to a story, and play a variety of games under the supervision of a group of trained monitors. The restaurant seats up to 300 in the main dining room and 100 in the lounge and VIP salon area.

The only Brazilian churrascaria (steak house) to be listed in the Michelin Italy Guide, it offers an authentic and flavorful Brazilian churrasco (barbecue) served under the rodízio (rotation) system, identical to the standards of quality of the parent restaurant in Itaim Bibi, São Paulo. The restaurant serves more than twelve cuts of meat, lamb, and chicken, including entrecôte, French rack of lamb, flank steak, and our famous rump steak, with a choice of eight garnishes. Diners can choose from over thirty different options from the traditional salad and antipasti buffet, in addition to innumerable garnishes and delicious desserts. The steak house seats up to 140 diners, there is a wine storage chamber open to view, and a further seventy places in the comfortable garden. All these touches ensure that our Italian establishment is the ideal venue for business events and pleasant friend and family gatherings. A remarkable touch is the reproduction of ancient cave paintings on the walls by an Italian artist using fresco techniques.
